A new passenger terminal was built on the eastern outskirts of Dushanbe

A new public transport terminal will run public transport in Dushanbe, passengers traveling to the Rasht zone will also be able to leave from here. 

The construction of the new terminal began in mid-2015, according to the website of the City Hall. About 4 million somoni were spent on the erection and equipping of the new facility with equipment and machinery.

The new terminal was built by “Ozod International”, which mainly deals with the supply and sale of petroleum products..

The Mayor's Office reports that the territory of the passenger terminal “Ozod trans” occupies more than 1.4 hectares.

"Up to 300 vehicles can be accommodated at the terminal parking lot. Here, an administrative building, a car wash, a repair point for vehicles were built. The main building of the terminal consists of three floors. On the first floor there is a dining room, a first-aid post, a room for mother and child, workrooms. On the second and third floors there is a hotel with 15 single and 35 family rooms," the mayor's office said.

On one of the parts of the terminal there is a filling station.

"In general, after putting the terminal into operation, up to 40 new jobs are open here. The management of “Ozod International” plans in the future, after expanding the territory of the terminal, to build new facilities here" the website of the city administration says..

According to the schedule, the services of this terminal can be used by passengers traveling to the cities of Vahdat, Faizabad, Obigarm, Roghun and the districts of the Rasht Valley. Also from this terminal will run seven city routes – buses No. 2, 7 and minibuses No. 2, 5, 5a, 18, 43.

"The new terminal will operate 24 hours a day, all conditions for drivers and passengers are provided for this," the mayor's office said.
