In Tajikistan, for weddings now have to come exclusively in national clothes

Asia-Plus

In the lower house of the parliament of Tajikistan, amendments to the law "On the regulation of traditions and rites" were adopted on August 23, which concerned, in particular, national clothes. But as it turned out, the wearing of clothes will be regulated only during weddings and events.

At the disposal of "AP" was a complete list of all amendments to the law on the regulation of traditions, which were adopted by the lower house of parliament on August 23. Part of the amendments were explained in detail in the comments to them, published on the president's website.

But some of the points that were not entirely clear, were puzzling and therefore vigorously discussed in social networks. In particular, this involved wearing clothes, which, as repeatedly reported by government officials, is unacceptable to the traditions of Tajik culture.

In the amendments, which are approved by the deputies, States that "physical and legal persons are obliged to protect elements of national culture, including the state language and national clothes". But since this supplement is introduced in the form of article 14 of note 1 in Chapter 4 "Duties of individuals and legal entities in the conduct of weddings and events," this requirement will not be extended in everyday life

The only thing that remains unclear is how the citizens of Tajikistan will protect the state language and national clothes, whether the brides will be allowed to wear a white dress or they will have to dress only the national dress. Most likely, this will be given a separate explanation or a separate provision.

Another amendment concerns the allowed time for the wedding and rituals. Earlier weddings on weekends and weekdays could be played till 23 o'clock, now only till 22 o'clock. The duration of the wedding remained the same – three hours and no more.

The next moment specified in the amendments may also be interest. This applies to the activities of public commissions that must be established in all organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, where at least 30 people work. Under this is a full article – 5 paragraph 1.

Public commissions, the model regulations on which will be approved by the government, will monitor compliance with the requirements of this law by employees of ministries, departments, enterprises, institutions and other organizations in which they are established and will take the necessary measures to prevent violations in this direction. In case of violation of the law, the commissions will have to inform the authorized body or local standing commissions within three days.

Article 7, concerning official celebrations, was also supplemented with some of the relatively Muslim holidays. In it, in particular, it is said that on the days of Ramazon and Qurbon holiday, a spiritual and economical  dastarkhan is setted, squandering and excess are forbidden.

There is also one more amendment concerning the pilgrimage. Earlier the events on the occasion of the wires and the meeting of the pilgrims could be carried out with the family, now it is forbidden. In addition, according to the new changes, the order of citizens' travel for Hajj and Umrah will be determined by the government.

We will remind that the full text of all the amendments to the law "On the regulation of traditions and rites" will be published in the official media after they are approved by the upper house of parliament and signed by the president. The meeting of the upper house of parliament, where all this is planned to be considered, will be held on August 28
