On Friday prayers at the Dushanbe mosques, the Imam-Hatibs, appealing to the parishioners, urged them to send their children to schools and universities in Idi Qurbon, which will be celebrated on September 1.
"Nobody canceled the holiday, but since Idi Qurbon is celebrated for three days, your children should September 1 on the first day of the holiday, go to schools and universities".
According to them, children can celebrate Idi Qurbon the next two days – on Saturday and Sunday.
The Imam-Hatibas also called on Muslims to limit the festivities for children. "No one forbids them to go to the Idgardak (festive celebration), but you must make sure that they do not leave the courtyard and are under your supervision," was noted at the Friday prayer.
And the fact that for teachers on September 1 will be a working day, confirmed the "AP" in several universities and schools. Teachers were notified about this the day before, although the Ministry of Education of Tajikistan claimed that they had not yet decided on this issue.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Education Ehson Khushvahtzoda persistently refuses to communicate with journalists.
Recall that in Tajikistan, as in many Muslim countries, Idi Qurbon will be celebrated on September 1. According to the legislation, this holiday is celebrated with a day off.
