In Tajikistan, new bills of 10, 20, 50 and 100 somoni will be introduced

Since August 31, the National Bank of Tajikistan will issue new bills worth 10, 20, 50 and 100 somoni. They promise that the bills will have additional degrees of protection and a new design.

The National Bank of Tajikistan will issue banknotes with an additional security element in denominations of 10, 20, 50, and 100 somoni from August 31, the National Bank press service reported.

The introduction into circulation of new more secure notes in the NBT is explained by the need to improve the quality of money circulation and reduce the risks of fakes.

The design of the 100 somoni bill has been improved, the security element has also been improved through second level reading machines and the introduction of a third-level security element of denominations of 10, 20, 50, and 100 somoni.

New banknotes will act in circulation on a par with paper denominations of 10, 20, 50, and 100 somoni denomination of 1999 sample
