Police have solved murder of a woman from Dushanbe that occurred in the Ayni district, Sughd province in January 2016, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
A 37-year-old resident of the Ayni district, who had previous conviction, reportedly severely beat a 48-year-old woman and locked her in a basement of his cafeteria “Shabbodai Anzob.” He held the woman in the basemen during seven days.
The woman died from sustained injuries and exposure to cold.
The man has been arrested and criminal proceedings have been instituted against him; an investigation is under way.
