Tajik customs officers have reportedly thwarted an attempt of smuggling 10,000 liters of diesel fuel into the country out of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the press center of the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan, officers of the Customs Service’s office for Sughd province have stopped a truck loaded with 10,000 liters of smuggled diesel fuel in the Jabbor-Rasoulov district.
The driver was carrying the smuggled diesel fuel from Kyrgyzstan.
The smuggled diesel fuel was confiscated and administrative proceedings were instituted against the driver. An investigation is under way.
