Nouriddin Rahmon, the elder brother of President Emomali Rahmon, died of heart failure on October 7 aged 67, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
According to official sources, Nouriddin Rahmon had lately engaged in farming work and occupied no government posts.
The president’s website notes that Nouriddin Rahmon had lately headed the “Rahmonjon” Farm in the Danghara district.
He was buried in his hometown Danghara on October 8.
