A resident of Vahdat Township has been detained for inflicting serious stab wounds on a Dushanbe resident.
According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the incident took place at Vahdat’s central bazaar in the afternoon of October 23.
Being in a state of drunkenness, a 62-year-old resident of Vahdat inflicted several stab wounds on a 58-yer-old resident of Dushanbe following quarrel. The wounded man was taken to a hospital in a serious condition.
Criminal proceedings have reportedly been instituted against the assailant and an investigation is under way.
