Two women have been brutally killed in Tajikistan.  One of the murders was committed in the Vose district of the Khatlon province and another one was committed in Vahdat Township, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

On November 14, a 29-year-old resident of the Vose district killed a 20-year-old local woman, forcing her to drink one liter of aqueous solution containing 190 Benadryl pills.

Another tragedy took place in Vahdat Township, some 17 kilometers to the east of Dushanbe, on October 26.  A 47-year-old local man brutally killed his 44-year-old wife following family quarrel.  He reportedly poured gasoline over her and then set her on fire.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted in both incidents and investigation events are under way.
