The government has supported the establishment of four new agencies in Tajikistan. Two of them will control the quality of food products and medicines being imported into the country.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on December 29 held a meeting to review the results of the past year’s work and plans for the first half-year of 2018, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
Finance Minister Abdusalom Qurboniyon reportedly reported on measures taken to ensure implementation of the law on the national budget for 2018.
The meeting endorsed draft laws requiring amendments to the country’s laws on medicines and pharmaceutical activity and supporting employment as well as amendments proposed to the country’s penal code. The meeting also approved a draft law on pastures. Al the draft laws were sent for consideration to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).
The government reportedly supported the establishment of four new agencies in the country.
The Committee on Food Security will be established on the basis of the State Veterinary Control Service, the State Phytosanitary Control Service, the State Livestock Breeding Service and the State Seed Breeding Inspectorate.
The Civil Aviation Agency will be established on the basis of appropriate structures of the Ministry of Transport.
The State Service for Control of Healthcare and Social Protection will be established on the basis of appropriate structures of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
State Enterprises Tojikkino will be established on the basis of appropriate structures of Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting under the Government of Tajikistan.
