The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) reports that one of Tajik insurance companies, Sughurtai Najot LTD, has stopped operations.
Tajik central bank released an appropriate decision on this subject on May 29 in connection with expiration of the company’s operating license.
Currently, some twenty insurance companies operate in the country. Two of them – State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Tojiksughurta and State Insurance Company Tojiksarmoyaguzor – are the state-run companies.
Among the private insurance companies the most active are Orien Insurance, Muin, Trud, Imdod, Madad Insurance and Eskhata Group.
