Total amount of debts of Tajikistan’s large and medium-sized enterprises exceeds 20.5 billion somoni

A total amount of debts of Tajikistan’s large and medium-sized enterprises reportedly exceeds 20.5 billion somoni.

Debts of Tajikistan’s large and medium-sized enterprises decreased by 30 percent (864.5 million somoni) to 20.539.7 billion somoni in a year to March 31, 2018, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.   

As of April 1, 2018, ratio of loss-makers was nearly 32 percent.  

Quite a large number of inefficient enterprises was reported in manufacturing industry, construction, transportation and communications.

The most incorrigible debtor is Barqi Tojik (Tajikistan’s national integrated power company).  

According to the statistical data from the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, Barqi Tojik’s total debts, taking into consideration investment loan agreements, amount to 14.7 billion somoni.
