Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has pointed to the necessity of improving teaching physical sciences at secondary schools, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

He reportedly noted this today while addressing an official opening ceremony of a new building of School # 55 in Dushanbe.

Rahmon, in particular, noted that labs of many secondary schools in the country do not have the necessary equipment and materials for carrying out practical lessons.

The head of state ordered relevant ministries and agencies to launch enterprises for production of equipment and materials for laboratories of educational institutions.

Rahmon stressed that only 58 percent of school leavers from Dushanbe managed to enter higher educational schools and technical secondary schools last year.

He also noted that heads of some educational institutions do not give proper attention to the education and upbringing of the younger generation that leads to increase in crime among youth.

Recall, President Emomali Rahmon on August 14 harshly criticized the quality of school uniforms sown in Dushanbe.  His criticism, directed at domestic producers, reportedly came today morning during an official opening ceremony of a new building of Secondary School # 31 in Dushanbe.

The president, in particular, noted that time that school students and their parents are dissatisfied with the quality and design of school uniforms sown in Dushanbe, and therefore, the most part of them is still stored in warehouses.  In this connection, the president ordered the Dushanbe mayor’s office to tighten control over design and quality of school uniforms.
