About 595 million kilowatt-hours of Tajik electricity was exported to neighboring countries last month. This is 22 million kWh less than in July of this year.
The decrease in the volume of electricity supplies is associated with a decrease in exports to Uzbekistan by 35 million kW / h.
In August of this year, Uzbekistan received 382 million kW / h of Tajik electricity, the report "Monitoring and Early Notification in Tajikistan" says. A month earlier, the volume of supplies to this country amounted to 417 million kW / h.
In August, electricity was also exported to Kyrgyzstan (12.4 million kW / h), which was not recorded in July.
Afghanistan, in the last month, as in the previous months, received slightly more than 200 million kW / h of Tajik electricity.
It is expected that before the end of this year, Tajikistan exports to neighboring countries at least 3 billion kW / h of electricity.
According to the agreements reached by the electricity companies, Uzbekistan acquires Tajik electricity at 2 American cents per kilowatt, and Afghanistan pays 4.1 cents for each kilowatt.
For export there is almost 16% of energy
Since the beginning of the year, Tajikistan exported 2 billion 152 million kWh of electricity. Almost 16% of the energy produced by Tajik power plants went to export, given that over eight months of this year produced more than 13.5 billion kW / h of electricity.
Due to the export of electricity in January-August this year, Tajikistan received $ 62 million 283 thousand. This is almost 57% more than the same period last year.
In January-August 2017, electricity was supplied to neighboring countries for $ 39 million 764 thousand.
