17th SCO prime ministers’ meeting results in signing 12 documents

The 17th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government has resulted in signing twelve documents, including 10 decisions of the Council and two interagency cooperation documents, according to Khovar news agency.  

Council members reportedly signed the SCO Secretariat report on the progress of implementation of the program of trade and economic cooperation between the SCO member nations, financial report on implementation of the SCO budget for 2018 and endorsed the Organization’s budget for 2018.  

Besides, the decisions on voluntary support for work of the Organization standing bodies, providing translation of works of the SCO standing bodies, on making changes to the financial provision regulations, on the program of trade and economic cooperation between the SCO member nations in new edition, on preparation of the program of development of cooperation between the regions of the SCO member nations, on the plan of actions (roadmap) on cooperation between scientific and research institutions of the SCO member nations for 2019-2020, and on the concept of environmental protection cooperation between the SCO member nations were signed, according to Khovar.  

Heads of relevant ministries and agencies of the SCO member nations reportedly signed the program of cooperation on food security and the authorized agencies of the SCO member nations signed a memorandum on technical cooperation in jointly preventing and combating cross-border epizootic diseases.
