Last month, inflation rate in Tajikistan stood at 0.7 percent, which is 0.4 percent fewer than in September this year, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
The inflation rate for the first ten months of this year has reportedly stood at 4.7 percent, which was 1.3 percent fewer than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the inflation rate for the first six months of this year has been estimated at only 0.8 percent. This is due to the two-month deflation process that was interrupted in April.
Rising prices and rates for some non-foodstuffs have reportedly had a ripple effect on the September and October inflation rates.
The cost of products of the food industry last month increased by 1.4 percent and non-foodstuffs rose in cost 0.3 percent in October.
Meantime, prices and rates for services rendered to the population last month decreased by 0.6 percent.
Over the first ten months of this year, the cost of products of the food industry, the cost of non-foodstuffs as well as prices and rates for services rendered to the population have reportedly increased in total by 4.7 percent.
Tajik central bank forecasts that the year-end inflation for this year will stand at no more than 7.0 percent.
Recall, Tajikistan’s year-end inflation for 2017 has been estimated at 6.7 percent.
