A soldier has shot to death an officer in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
An official source at the law enforcement authorities says the incident took place in one of frontier posts of the Khorog border unit on December 9. According to him, a conscript fired at a 22-year-old officer from his service Kalashnikov assault.
The cause of the incident is under investigation, the source added.
The press center of the Main Border Guard Directorate under the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) confirmed the incident. However, they refrained from giving further details of the incident.
