Over the first eleven months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan has amounted to 3.843.2 billion U.S. dollars, which was 107.5 percent of the January-November 2017 level or 267.6 million U.S. dollars more, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
The trade balance over the report period has been negative and amounted to some 1.860.7 billion U.S. dollars.
Exports of goods over the first eleven months of this year have reportedly amounted to 991.2 million U.S. dollars, which was 9.6 percent or 104.6 million USD fewer than in the same period last year.
Over the same eleven-month period, imports of goods into the country have reportedly amounted to 2.852 billion U.S. dollars, which was 15 percent or 372.5 million U.S. dollars more than in January-November last year.
Over the first eleven months of this year, Tajikistan reportedly had trade relations with 105 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.
In January-November this year, the major trading partners of Tajikistan were Russia (the two-way trade between Tajikistan and Russia valued at more than 924 million US dollars over the report period), Kazakhstan (769 million U.S. dollars), China (more than 589 million U.S. dollars), Turkey (more than 370 million U.S. dollars) and Uzbekistan (some 259 million U.S. dollars).
Over the repot period, Kazakhstan was the main partner for Tajikistan’s exports. Kazakhstan reportedly accounted for 28.3 percent of the overall volume of Tajikistan’s exports.
Meanwhile, Russia was the main partner for Tajikistan’s imports over the first eleven months of this year – 30.6 percent of the overall volume of Tajikistan’s imports.
