Tajik FM to visit Samarqand to meet his counterparts from Central Asia’s nations, Afghanistan and India

Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin is expected to visit the Uzbek city of Samarqand to meet his counterparts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and India.        

A source in the Tajik government says a meeting in this format will take place for the first time.  

The sides will discuss issues related to further expansion of political and economic cooperation between their countries.  

They will also exchange views on a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest, including the issue of establishment of peace and accord in Afghanistan. 

Such meetings are planned to be held annually, the source added.
