Committee on Religious Affairs launches hotline

The Committee on Religious Affairs and Regulation of Traditions and Rituals (CRA) under the Government of Tajikistan has launched a hotline. 

The hotline has been launched for the purpose of providing close interaction with society and effective implementation of laws, Afshin Muqim, a spokesman for the CRA, told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

“You can call or send text messages to the telephone number +992 988 20 66 66” Muqim said.  

According to him, people may apply to the CRA on the issues related to Hajj, regulation of national traditions and rituals, etc.  

According to data from the Committee Religious Affairs and Regulation of Traditions and Rituals, the country’ courts last year considered 648 administrative proceedings over violation of the law on regulation of national traditions and rituals.  A total amount  of fines reportedly was 3,061,950 somoni.
