A female teacher for Dushanbe boarding school faces up to 8 years in prison for causing a pupil to commit suicide.
Prosecutor’s office in Dushanbe’s Sino district has instituted criminal proceedings against a female teacher for Dushanbe Boarding School # 1, Sumangul Qalandarshoyeva. She is reportedly accused of causing a pupil to commit suicide.
A source at the Sino prosecutor’s office says Qalandarshoyeva is accused of causing the 8th grade student Muhammadjon Davlatov to commit suicide.
“If her guilt is proven, she could face up to eight years in prison,” the source added.
An investigation is still under way.
