The St. Petersburg Labor Resources Center says the St. Petersburg authorities are expected to set up centers for recruitment of labor migrants from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
According to CA-News, the Labor Resources Center has announced a contest for setting up four centers for organized recruitment of labor migrants from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The St. Petersburg authorities reportedly plan to employ up to 1,000 citizens of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan at the city enterprises by September this year.
One center for organized recruitment of labor workers will be created in Kyrgyzstan and three other such centers will be created in Tajikistan.
The centers are expected to offer jobs in construction sector, public catering, hotels and restaurants.
Last year, foreign citizens were mostly employed as maintenance workers, loaders, cooks, fitters and packers.
In 2018, the Labor Resources Center reportedly set up five centers for organized recruitment of labor workers in Tajikistan and one center for organized recruitment of labor workers in Kyrgyzstan.
