President Emomali Rahmon has introduced a number of staff changes replacing several regional administrators.
By president’s decrees mayors of the cities of Kulob (Khatlon province), Istaravshan (Sughd province) and Levakant (formerly Sarband in Khatlon province) as well as chairperson of Abdurahmon-Jomi district (Khatlon province) have been replaced.
Besides, by government’s decree Sulton Rahimzoda has been relieved of his post of First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources in connection with transfer to other job.
He was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of India, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
