Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin met in Tehran with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif Saturday (June 1) morning.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, Muhriddin and Zarif discussed the expansion of political, parliamentary and economic cooperation, particularly in the sectors of water, energy and transportation.
They, in particular, pointed to the necessity of intensifying activities of Tajikistan/Iran Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
Expressing concern about the rise of international terrorism and extremism, the ministers underlined the significance of the joint fight against them, the Tajik MFA information department said.
