Tajik fruits may ban in Europe. Due to chlorpyrifos

Date:

Import of fruits to the EU from Central Asian countries, including from Tajikistan, may be banned.

For example, Denmark, which plans to raise this issue at the level of the European Union, has advocated an immediate ban on the import of fruits that are sprayed with chlorpyrifos.

Chlorpyrifos is a particularly dangerous organochlorine pesticide, which is included in the list of chemicals and biological products approved for use in Tajikistan.

Fruits from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries where chlorpyrifos is used mainly enter the EU market through Ukraine.
