As part of the project “Strengthening the Disaster Risk Management System in Tajikistan” in Dushanbe, a Regional Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and the Sendai Framework Program for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-203 will be held, Umeda Yusufi, spokeswoman for the Committee on Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Republic, said.

Heads of emergency agencies, committees and ministries from Afghanistan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the event..

UN Secretary General Special Envoy Antonio Guterres expected to attend in the conference.
