Scientists claim that the observatory worked until the beginning of the 15th century AD.
In the Karon settlement, which is located in Darvaz district, Tajik archaeologists discovered an observatory, Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan reports.
According to the famous Tajik historian, academician Yusufshoh Yakubsho, it is still unknown when the observatory was built.
«Stone objects with various geometric shapes found in the ruins of the observatory. We have a long work to study in the history of the observatory and the objects found in it», – academician said.
