Dust haze expected to envelope Tajikistan tomorrow

A dust storm is expected to embrace south and central parts of Tajikistan on October 15, the Hydrometeorology Agency (Hydromet) says.  

A dust storm will embrace many districts in Khatlon province and districts subordinate to the center on October 15 and the wind speed will be 15-20 meters per second, according to Hydromet.  

The weather in Dushanbe within the next few days is expected to be cloudy and no precipitation is expected.  Daytime temperatures are expected to fluctuate from +24ºC to +26ºC.

In districts subordinate to the center, the weather is expected to be cloudy and no precipitation is expected.  In plains, daytime temperatures will be from +22ºC to +27ºC. 

A dust storm, also called sandstorm, is a meteorological phenomenon common in arid and semi-arid regions.  Dust storms arise when a gust front or other strong wind blows loose sand and dirt from a dry surface.
