Six people, including a six-year-old child, were killed and at least three others injured on November 24 as the Hyundai minivan and a truck collided in Russia’s Orenburg oblast.  All of them were labor migrants from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan who were returning home.

According to the Tajik Labor Ministry’s representative office in Moscow, two of those killed and one those injured were identified as nationals of Tajikistan.

“Firouz Ahmad, 26, and Husniddin Malikzoda, 27, were killed, while Shahboz Ismatov, 25, sustained various injuries and was hospitalized.  All of them are residents of the Qaratogh jamoat, which is subordinate to the city of Tursunzoda,” Ibrohim Ahmadov, a spokesman for the Tajik Labor Ministry’s representative office in Moscow, told Asia-Plus by phone.

The accident reportedly took place in the morning at 6:10 on the 15th kilometer of the Orenburg-Akbulak highway.

Teller Report says the Hyundai minivan crashed into a truck moving in the opposite direction.  Five people died on the spot, including a six-year-old child.  Three more victims were hospitalized, where one of them died.  According to the preliminary version, the cause of the accident was the departure of the minivan into the oncoming lane due to the actions of its driver, since the road conditions at the time of the accident were normal, Teller Report notes.
