Asia-Plus

Aerial communication between Dushanbe and Tashkent has been suspended due to detection of the novel coronavirus cases in Uzbekistan.

“An aerial communication between Dushanbe and Tashkent is suspended until March 27,” an official source within the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interview.

It is unknown yet whether the suspension of the flights will be extended or not, the source added.

Uzbekistan’s national air carrier, Uzbek Aiways, said on March 15 that it is suspending or curbing flights to a number of cities in Western Europe, Asia and the Middle East until the end of April beginning on March 16.

Recall, Uzbekistan has confirmed four coronavirus cases.  Besides, the Uzbek authorities have shut down schools, colleges and universities for three weeks cancelled all public events.
