The mayor of Khujand Maruf Muhammadzoda held a meeting of the commission for the prevention of the new strain of coronavirus. He instructed the city authorities to control the movement of children and adolescents during unscheduled school holidays.

The mayor also recommended that older people not go outside without the need. He noted that when the temperature appears, citizens should immediately call an ambulance.

The mayor also instructed to close street trading and control the operation of markets.

The regional health service reported that as of April 8, at 8:00 a.m., in the quarantine zones of Sogd there are 482 people.

3219 people checked out after quarantine. But none of them had a coronovirus infection.
