More than 296,000 foreign citizens visited Tajikistan in January-February this year

296,100 foreign nationals have visited Tajikistan over the first two months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

According to official statistics, the number of foreign tourists visiting the country has increased by 42.1 percent compared to the same period last year.   

The highest inflow has come from Uzbekistan – 197,000 people, Russia – 43,200 people, Kyrgyzstan – 37,100 people, and Kazakhstan – 4,700 people.

Among the far abroad countries the highest inflow has reportedly come from Afghanistan – 3,000 people, China – 1,200 people, Turkey – 900 people, the United States – 500 people, and Iran – 400 people.
