Kuwaiti air carrier repatriates Tajik nationals, airlifts humanitarian relief supplies to Dushanbe

Five Tajik nationals stranded in Kuwait due to the coronavirus crisis and cancellation of international flights were repatriated from Kuwait to Tajikistan by a special charter flight operated by Kuwaiti air carrier, according to the Tajik MFA information department.   

The same plane also delivered 15 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan on behalf of Mohammad Fouad ben Mohammad Al-Ghanim, Chief Executive Officer of the Fouad Alghanim & Sons Group of Companies.

The assistance includes medicines to combat the new coronavirus (COVID-15), according to Tajikistan’s national news agency Khovar.   

On June 5, the Fouad Alghanim & Sons Group of Companies reportedly sent 22 tons of humanitarian relief supplies to Tajikistan.
