Coronavirus: the official coronavirus-linked death toll rises to 54 in Tajikistan

One COVID-19 patient died yesterday, bringing a total number of the coronavirus-linked deaths in the country to 54, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP).

49 new officially confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in Tajikistan yesterday, bringing a total number of officially confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country to 6,364 as of the evening of July 8, a MoHSPP said.  

5,011 COVID-19 patients (78.7 percent) have reportedly recovered as of the evening of July 8, 2020.

Meanwhile, 220 people hospitalized on suspicion of contracting COVID-19 are under supervision of doctors.  

Recall, 70 of 776 Tajik nationals repatriated from Kazakhstan on July 3 have been diagnosed with.  They have been taken to the Sughd regional hospital in Khujand.
