29 joint ventures now operate in Dushanbe, says first deputy Dushanbe mayor

To-date, 29 joint ventures have been registered in Dushanbe, First Deputy Dushanbe Mayor, Mahmadsaid Zuvaidzoda, told reporters in Dushanbe on July 24. 

“Over the first quarter of this year, a total volume of foreign investments in Dushanbe’s economy has amounted to 54.9 million U.S. dollars” Zuvaidzoda said.  

According to him, 11 state projects are being implemented in Dushanbe.  “434.6 million U.S. dollars have been utilized since the projects were launched, and 15.6 million U.S. dollars have been utilized over the first six months of this year,” the deputy mayor noted. 

Over the same six-month period, Dushanbe’s foreign trade turnover has reportedly been estimated at 216.7 million U.S. dollars, which was 9.0 percent more than in the same period last year.
