Fire destroys more than three hectares of pasture in Varzob district

A fire that broke out in the territory of the Chorbogh jamoat in the Varzob district has reportedly destroyed more than three hectares of a pasture.

According to the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, the fire broke out on the both sides of the Varzob River in a pasture of the village of Shodob-2 on August 6 at 1:00 pm.

Some 200 employees of the Emergencies Committee and the Interior Ministry were reportedly involved in extinguishing the fire.

The fire was extinguished in an hour, according to the Emergencies Committee press center.

The combustion area was 3,000 square meters no injured was reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
