A young woman from Vahdat in a fit of jealousy doused her lover with gasoline and set fire to him.

The tragedy took place on the banks of the Kofarnikhon River in the city of Vahdat on August 28, but it became known only now – the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reported the incident at the end of last week.

«Law enforcement officers detained a 21-year-old resident of the city of Vakhdat on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. In a fit of jealousy, she poured gasoline on her 25-year-old lover and set him on fire», – the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

What caused the jealousy and the subsequent act of the girl is not reporte.

The man with burns was hospitalized, the investigation against the girl continues.
