One person was killed and one another injured December 5 as a gas cylinder exploded in a private house in Roudaki district, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
The accident reportedly took place in the afternoon in the village of Marifati in the Chorteppa jamoat. A gas cylinder reportedly exploded in the house of a 62-year-old Aliqul Gasanov.
As a result of the blast, Gasanov’s son-in-law Bobomurod Hairov, 36, died while Gasanov sustained various burn wounds and was taken to Hospital No 3 in Dushanbe.
The cause of the blast is under investigation.
