Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is expected to address a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament on January 26, a source within the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Usually, the head of state addresses the joint meeting of the parliament in December, but this time, the presidential address to the parliament was postponed to a later date is connected with the fact that the next final meeting of the government to review the results of the past year's work and set plans for the next year is planned to take place in January.
Since 2015, the joint meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) and the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) has taken place it the Kokhi Somon State Complex in Dushanbe.
