Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan sign 22 cooperation documents

Kyrgyz media reports say a state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to Uzbekistan resulted in signing in a number of cooperation documents.

Half a dozen ministers, several regional governors, the military and border security heads, and various other government representatives have accompanied Japarov on his state visit to Uzbekistan from March 11-12.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reportedly welcomed him to the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace on March 11.

Citing the Kyrgyz president’s press service, Kyrgyz national news agency Kabar says President Sadyr Japarov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted a Joint Statement.

In addition, the following documents were reportedly signed:

– Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Uzbekistan on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Development Fund;

– Agreement between the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the fight against smuggling and violations of customs legislation;

– Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan;

– Program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021–2022;

– Protocol between the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan on the exchange of information on the movement of goods in mutual trade;

– Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of health;

– Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan;

– Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Committee for Industrial Safety of Uzbekistan;

– Memorandum between the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Antimonopoly Committee of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of competition policy;

– Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan;

– Protocol of the Minister of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan on the mutual supply of electricity;

– Protocol of Intent between the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of cooperation in the military and military-technical fields;

– Plan of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan for 2021;

– A plan of joint measures for the interaction of authorized bodies in the framework of the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine;

– A plan of practical measures (Roadmap) to expand and deepen cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan in the field of industrial cooperation;

– Action plan for 2021–2023. on the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture and art between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan;

– A plan of practical measures (Road map) between the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of agriculture and food supply;

– Calendar of events for 2021–2022 on the implementation of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, dated December 13, 2017 in Tashkent;

– Memorandum of cooperation between Naryn Oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic and Fergana Oblast of Uzbekistan;

– Roadmap for further deepening and expanding cooperation between Batken Oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic and Fergana Oblast of Uzbekistan;

– Roadmap for further deepening and expanding cooperation between Jalal-Abad Oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic and Namangan Oblast of Uzbekistan;

– A roadmap for further deepening and expanding cooperation between Osh Oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic and Andijan Oblast of Uzbekistan.
