Tajik deputy foreign minister and Kazakh ambassador discuss cooperation

On Wednesday May 12, Tajikistan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Muzaffar Huseinzoda received Kazakhstan Ambassador to Tajikistan Askar Tazhibayev.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed a range of issues related to the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

They also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries within regional and international organizations, including the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Center for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors (CARICC).

Recall, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is expected to pay an official visit to Tajikistan from May 19-20 at the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

Tajikistan and Kazakhstan actively collaborate within a number of international and regional organizations such as the UN, OSCE, SCO, CICA, CSTO and CIS.
