Presidents discussed cooperation between countries and positions on Afghanistan

Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Tajikistan yesterday to participate in the SCO summit.

Emomali Rahmon greeted Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and highly appreciated his personal contribution to the development of mutually beneficial strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, reports the press service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of the agreements signed during the official visit of Mirziyoyev to Dushanbe.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the steady development and expansion of the complex of relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
