Asia-Plus Media Group is holding the second kite festival entitled “Osmoni Dushanbe – 2022” (2022 Dushanbe Sky) under support of the Dushanbe Administration.
Our first kite festival that took place on April 21, 2018 became a real family holiday, which in five hours was visited by about 20,000 residents and guests of the Tajik capital.
Had a great family picnic — children flew kites, danced, ate ice cream, while the parents rested on the grass and watched the happy children.
However, some adults were so good at flying kites that crowds of boys gathered around them and could not take their eyes off what was happening!
Tajikistan’s largest companies Obi Zulol (water bottling plant) and RC Cola (beverage bottler), mobile operator Tcell, national air carrier Tajik Air and pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter Dushanbe helped organize that festival. Thanks again to all of them.
“Unfortunately, the pandemic did not allow us to hold this holiday for a long time, but this year we decided to revive the ancient Tajik tradition “bodbarak” and make people happy,” Manizha Ahmadova, Director of Asia-Plus Radio, says.
Festival guests will have a holiday for the whole family: master-class on assembling and flying kites; Asia-Plus Radio show-program; funny contests and prizes; national games; holiday music; delicious food and drinks; kiosks/comers selling souvenirs and products of national artisans.
Entrance to the festival is FREE. Colorful kites will be available at the event at an affordable price.
The festival will take place in Navrouzgoh Park in the area near the Waterfall.
