Top diplomats of Russia and Central Asia’s nations holding virtual meeting today

Foreign minister of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are holding an online meeting via video link today. 

According to the Tajik Foreign Ministry’s information department, the meeting agenda includes issues related to countering terrorism and extremism, exchanging views on the situation in Afghanistan and its impact on the neighboring countries. 

The Russian Foreign Ministry, in particular, says the parties will focus on the prospects for the sectoral expansion of the Six Format to areas of mutual interest, including transport, energy, sanitary and epidemic well-being, and national security.

It is the fifth meeting of foreign ministers of the Russian Federation and the Central Asian nations.
