The Insider: Russia wants to buy ammunition for Soviet artillery from Tajikistan

Asia-Plus

The Kremlin is trying to buy ammunition for Soviet artillery systems from Tajikistan and offers retired military men to go to war in Ukraine. It is reported by The Insider with reference to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.

It is reported that with a request for the provision of military ammunition, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia turned to the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan.

In addition, as noted in the information, "retired military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan receive offers to sign a contract with the Russian Armed Forces".

«The Tajik military is invited by the Russian side to take part in the conflict against Ukraine», – the message says.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan did not officially confirm, but did not refute this information either.

A source in the ministry said that “such decisions and agreements are made at the highest level of the department and ordinary employees do not have access to such data”.
