Rahmon inaugurates a number of economic and social facilities in Kulob region of Khatlon province

On October 23, President Emomali Rahmon paid a working visit to the Shamsiddin-Shohin district and the city of Kulob, where he inaugurated a number of economic and social facilities, according to the Tajik president’s official website. 

Emomali Rahmon, in particular, put into operation an automobile bridge on the Kulob – Shamsiddin-Shohin section of the international highway Dushanbe – Kulob – Qalai Khumb – Khorog – Kulma. 

The facility was reportedly built at a high quality level by the main contractor, a branch of the Limited Liability Company Xinjiang Construction Engineering Group.

The length of the bridge is 140 meters, the width is 10 meters, and its carrying capacity is 100 tons.

While in the Shamsiddin-Shohin district, the head of state also commissioned a building of the Center for Food Security in the village of Shuroobod.  

A laboratory and work rooms for the study of meat and dairy products, fruits and vegetables, equipped with modern equipment and a hotel with five bed are placed within the three-story building of the Center for Food Security.

Rahmon also opened a new building of the State Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision in the Shamsiddin-Shohin district.

While in the city of Kulob, the head of state reportedly commissioned secondary educational institution No. 47.

The new two-story school is designed accommodate 528 pupils in two shifts, and the facility area is 2.50 hectares. 

 Emomali Rahmon also inaugurated the Duoi Modar (Mother's Blessing) Complex in Kulob.  The complex was built at the entrance to the city on an area of about 1 hectare.    

As part of his working trip to Kulob City, the president also commissioned a multi-story residential building.  The 9-story apartment building was reportedly built by a domestic entrepreneur Bobokhon Nasimov in three years in accordance with the requirements of modern architecture and urban planning.

While in Kulob, the head of state also participated in an official opening of the renovated building of the College of Innovative and Information and Communication Technologies.

A new private educational institution was reportedly created by a domestic entrepreneur on the basis of the Kulob communication building.  College is designed to accommodate 460 students.

This educational institution has computer and electronic classrooms, a conference room, a library, a laboratory and classrooms, as well as modern conditions and opportunities for teaching students advanced technologies.
