Four residents of Uzbekistan’s Bostanlyk district suspected of raping local woman in front of her children

Four residents of Bostanlyk district in Tashkent region have been arrested on suspicion of beating and raping local woman in front of her two minor children, Mediazona reported on February 15, citing the regional police directorate.   

Uzbek female blogger Aqida Khanum wrote on his Facebook page that while the husband of the victim was at work in the Russian Federation, four men, aged 25 to 27 on December 28,2022 burst into home of the 39-year-old woman in Chimboili village and beat and raped her in front of her two minor children.  

The woman was hospitalized; her condition is assessed as serious.  

The Prosecutor-General’s Office of Uzbekistan says criminal proceedings have been instituted against the men on the provisions of articles concerning rape and forcible satisfaction of sexual desire in an unnatural form.
