About half a million Muslims celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in Moscow and Moscow oblast

About half a million Muslims will celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in Mosco and Moscow oblast on April 21, Islam-today says.  

Not less than 150,000 worshippers will gather at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque alone.   In general, in Moscow and the Moscow oblast, about 500,000 worshippers will celebrate this one of the major religious holidays that followers of Islam have been observing for centuries.  

More than 300,000 Muslims ae expected to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in Moscow and about 200,000 Muslims will celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in the Moscow oblast. 

Meetings regarding the organization of celebration of Eid ul-Fitr were held with the Moscow and Moscow oblast authorities yesterday, Islam-today reported on April 19.  

As usual, all mosques will be involved and additionally several venues will be allotted for festive prayer on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr. 

In Moscow oblast, a prayer service will be organized at 50 mosques, Islamic centers, prayer houses and additional venues.
