Tajikistan is a mineral rich country with more than 600 documented deposits of some 50 different minerals including silver, gold, lead, zinc, antimony, mercury, molybdenum, tungsten, iron, tin, fluorspar, rock salt, precious and semi-precious stones, bituminous coal, anthracite, graphite, etc. These minerals have been found suitable for mining.
Thirty-seven companies and enterprises are engaged in exploring and developing deposits in Tajikistan.
Gold
Gold mining in Tajikistan is significant to the world mineral market. According to estimates from the Tajik Academy of Sciences, gold deposits are estimated at 429.3 tons.

- Tillo Tojik – Safed-Dara, Bomovlo, Khirgo-Dara gold deposits and Yokhsou alluvial gold deposit in Khovaling district, Khatlon province;

- Barakati Istiqlol LLC – Dulobi Sangob and Navobod gold deposits in Shamsiddin-Shohin district, Khatlon province;
- Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) TALCO Gold – Konchoch, Skalnoye and Chulobi gold deposits in Ayni district, Sughd province;
- Odina gold mining artel – Dondushkan and Yokhsou gold deposits in Khovaling district, Khatlon province;
Silver
- Open Joint-Stock Company Adrasman Ore Refinery is engaged in mining and processing of ores at Eastern Koni Mansour silver deposit;
- China’s Kashgar Xinyu Dadi Mining Investment – Yakjilva silver deposit in GBAO’s Murgab district.
Zinc
Tajikistan's zinc reserves are located at the Zarnisor and Ak-tash deposit. According to expert estimates, more than 1 billion tons of lead-zinc ores have been explored only at the Big Konimansour deposit and the Zarnisor ore fields.
- Tajik-Sino Mining Company is engaged in mining and processing of ores at Zarnisor and Zarnisori Shimoli (Northern Zarnisor) zinc deposits in Mastchoh district, Sughd province.
Antimony and mercury
- Tajikistan-US JV Anzob Ore Refinery is engaged in mining the Jizhikrud deposit in Ayni district, Sughd province.
Tin
- Broadtech Mining Tajikistan LLC ООО is engaged in mining and processing of ores at the Mushkiston deposit in Panjakent district, Sughd province.
Iron
- Tajikistan-China Metallurgical Works LLC is engaged in mining and processing of ores at the Shohqadambuloq deposit in Asht district, Sughd province;
- Everest Training LLC – Tutli Quduq deposit in Mastchoh district, Sughd province.

- Takob Ore Refinery LLC is engaged in mining the Krasnokhlom deposit in Vahdat district, RRP;
- TALC Fluorite LLC – Kuli Kalon deposit in Panjakent district and Kaznok deposit in Ayni district of Sughd province and Magov deposit in Vahdat district, RRP.

- Takob Ore Refinery LLC is engaged in mining the Central Takob lead and fluorite deposit in Varzob district, RRP.
Tungsten
- TALCO Fluorite LLC ООО is engaged in mining the Maikhoura deposit in Varzob district, RRP.

- State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Angishti Tojik’s Shurobod coal mining enterprise is engaged in mining the Shurobod coal deposit in Shamsdiddin-Shohin district, Khatlon province;
- SUE Angishti Tojik’s Koni Angishti Ziddi coal mining enterprise – the Ziddi coal deposit in Varzob district, RRP;
- Tajik Metallurgical Works LLC – the Ravot and Fon-Yaghnob coal deposits in Ayni district, Sughd province;
- SUE Angishti Tojik’s Fon-Yaghnob Coal Mine – the quarry zone of the Eastern area of the Fon-Yaghnob coal deposit in Ayni district, Sughd province;
