On August 27, a new secondary school No. 9 was opened in Dushanbe with the participation of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Mayor of the capital Rustam Emomali, the press service of the head of state reports.

The school, located in the Khovaron microdistrict, is equipped with modern facilities and is designed for 2,400 students studying in two shifts.

The educational institution includes 72 classrooms, technical rooms, a conference hall with 500 seats, an electronic library with 50 computers, a traditional library with 120 seats, a dining room and a sports hall. The building also has CCTV cameras and its own boiler room for heating.

Emomali Rahmon noted the importance of education and science and stressed that the government continues to create "the necessary conditions for high-quality education and vocational training of young people."

Emomali Rahmon opened another 2,400-seat school in the Firdavsi district of the capital. The modern building of secondary school No. 14 is also equipped with everything necessary to ensure the educational process.

In addition to the two schools, the President and the Mayor of Dushanbe opened a new modern building, which houses the Malika Sobirova Republican Choreographic College and the Akhmad Bobokulov Dushanbe College of Arts.

The three-storey building consists of spacious classrooms and dance halls equipped with everything necessary for musical and choreographic classes, rehearsals and concerts.

Of the 90 classrooms, 42 belong to the Republican Choreographic College and 48 to the Dushanbe College of Arts.

It is noted that the exterior of the building is similar to the architectural style of the Sadriddin Aini State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.

The Malika Sabirova Republican Choreographic College, which trains professional dancers and ballet dancers, was established in 2003. The college has three departments – classical, folk and modern dance. Currently, it has more than 100 students.

The Akhmad Dushanbe Music College was founded in 1945, and then, by a decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated August 2, 2014, it was renamed the Akhmad Bobokulov Dushanbe College of Arts. More than 300 full-time and part-time students study at the college.

The institution has 11 departments, including "Musicology", "Piano", "Conductor of the Academic Choir", "Orchestral string instruments", "Wind and percussion instruments", "Folk orchestral instruments", "Singing (academic)", "Singing (traditional)", "Directing (voice acting)", "Pop Art (making music)" and "Pop Art (singing)".
